Greetings FLSSAMTmembers!
I hope you all are enjoying your summer.
The Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch was a good time. There were many great speakers with various topics. There was an opportunity to get all the CCP鈥檚 (CE鈥檚) you need for the year. Florida sent 9 delegates! It was great meeting people from other states and putting faces with names. Next year the annual meeting is going to be held in Pittsburgh, PA from July 21-25. Mark your calendars now and plan to attend!
Remember Florida is hosting the Magnolia Educational Treasurers (MET) meeting this fall. It is going to be in Maitland at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel September 19-22. The registration form and link to the hotel on the AMTwebsite under Florida. The hotel price, $129 per night, is good for 3 days prior and 3 days after the meeting so come and have fun. Maitland is close to many attractions. The hotel is 20 minutes from SeaWorld and Universal Studios, 40 minutes to Disney, 60 minutes to Gatorland and Legoland. The hotel is also close to Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach, and the Zoo.
We have another great lineup of speakers. There is an opportunity to get 14 CCP鈥檚 (CE鈥檚). There is also going to be a wine/cheese event and silent auction as well. Come and join the fun.

Hello FLSS天娱传媒!
Well, we survived our first-ever Hybrid meeting on May 4, 2024. If you attended, whether in person or remotely, we were happy to see you all again. We were so thrilled to have 12 new members in attendance. It was a bit rough for our first hybrid and we appreciated the supportive comments and watching members helping members online. I do hope all of you will join us for our upcoming meetings.
The Magnolia Educational Treasures is scheduled for Sept 19-22,2024 at the North Orlando Sheraton Hotel by Marriott in Maitland, Florida with educational presentations on Friday, Sept 20th, and Saturday the 21st. We have a boatload of CE credits waiting for you. Watch your email for more info. I am sure you have seen the save the date flyers with the hotel link for reservations. Make those reservations as soon as you can. This is an 11-state event and you do not want to miss out!
April 26th is our FLSSAMT2025 Spring Meeting at the North Ft. Lauderdale Marriott. Save That Date and watch for more information.
I want to encourage everyone to sign up for the Florida Communities page. The information posted there comes to you in an email nearly instantly! Our website will still have information, as well as meeting registration and our Job postings, but to save data use, we will be putting most of our posting on Florida’s Communities communication page and library.
Zombie Season is nearly upon us and I encourage you to get that emergency plan in place now. Reminding you all to stock up, charge up, and fill up. Get those 72 hr. kits together and evaluate your environments for needed repairs, and preparations. Encourage your workplace to start putting together their emergency plans. Stock up on bug repellent and sunscreen!
Always remember to lend a hand to someone who needs it and to accept a hand when offered! We are in this together!
