President's Message

The MNHSSAMTDelegates are preparing to attend the AMTAnnual Meeting on July 8-12th in St. Louis, MO. We are excited to attend the many educational sessions that will be presented and of course, catching up with our friends we have made in the AMTFamily. Not to mention enjoying all the delights that St. Louis has to offer tourists. Of, course there are many business meetings the delegates will attend to carry out the business of the AMTorganization. Many current updates will be presented at the Friday Leadership Training.

I wish to congratulate our very own Vice President, Pam Kriegel on receiving the very prestigious award of the AMTMedical Technologist of the Year (2023). A very well-deserved acknowledgment of this individual’s commitment to the Medical Laboratory Science discipline as well as to the National Certifying Agency of the American Medical Technologists organization.

I wish to also Welcome Charles Curtis, MLS to the MNHSSAMTBOD as a general board member. He has been an AMTmember for many years and brings great energy and ideas to our state society. We are looking forward to having him on the Board.

Do not forget to watch for information on the Northeast Fall Medical Conference on Oct. 15 and 16th 2024 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland Maine. Hope to see some of you there.

Cheers,
Susan Constable MLS
